Tekcsend Photomask Holds Exchange Event with Kawagoe Girls' High School Biology Club
Preserving Endangered Species and Passing on the Value of Living in Harmony with Nature to Future Generations
On Monday, August 24, 2026, Tekscend Photomask welcomed members of the Biology Club from Saitama Prefectural Kawagoe Girls' High School to its Asaka site and held an exchange meeting to discuss biodiversity conservation initiatives.
Tekscend Photomask is engaged in the maintenance and management of a biotope at its Asaka site as part of its efforts to preserve biodiversity and foster coexistence with the local community. As part of these activities, the company supports the creation of a habitat for the endangered Nuka shrimp, a species that is being studied and protected by the Biology Club at Saitama Prefectural Kawagoe Girls' High School. Through this initiative, we have continued its collaboration and exchange with the club since 2024.
During this exchange meeting, participants toured our biotope and presented the results of their research, "Distribution of Invasive and Native Shrimp in the Arakawa River System and the Artificial Breeding of the Nuka Shrimp." We also shared its biodiversity conservation initiatives.
The exchange provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of biodiversity and nature positivity while exploring how businesses and educational institutions can collaborate to support environmental conservation.

Biodiversity Initiatives
Since 2013, Tekscend Photomask has been developing a biotope at its Asaka site by repurposing a former on-site wastewater treatment facility and has continued its biodiversity conservation activities. In collaboration with specialized organizations such as the Saitama Prefecture Ecosystem Conservation Association, we have been working to protect and conserve local flora and fauna, including endangered species listed on the Red Lists of the Ministry of the Environment and Saitama Prefecture. In recognition of our long-standing track record in ecosystem conservation and our sustainable management system, our biotope was certified as a "Nature Coexistence Site" by the Ministry of the Environment in September 2025. Through collaboration with local educational institutions, municipalities, and specialized organizations, we aim to contribute to the conservation of the natural environment and the development of the next generation of leaders, while working toward the realization of a sustainable society.
