Toppan Receives World Class Supplier Achievement Award from Spansion
'World Class Supplier Achievement Award' Demonstrates Toppan's Commitment To Customers; Competitive Advantage of Its Global Network
Toppan Photomasks, Inc. announced today that it received the "World Class Supplier Achievement Award" for 2006 from Spansion, Inc., the world's largest pure-play provider of Flash memory solutions.
The award recognizes Toppan's "overall outstanding support and commitment to Spansion," based on leading-edge technology, timely service, reduced costs and active involvement of its global teams working on programs specific to Spansion's demanding quality, cycle time, technology development and yield goals.

Toppan has collaborated closely with Spansion in developing the photomasks for the chipmaker's FAB 25 in Austin, Texas; its new 300mm SP1 fab in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan, and its Submicron Development Center (SDC) in Sunnyvale, Calif., Spansion's R&D headquarters and the nucleus of its advanced manufacturing process for all its Flash memory products.
Toppan's ability to reliably deliver leading-edge photomasks for demanding schedules confirms the competitive advantages of the company's world-class technology, supply capabilities and integrated global network of facilities. The photomasks manufactured for Spansion required seamless cooperation between Toppan's advanced production facilities in Asaka, Japan, and Round Rock, Texas, USA.
