DuPont Photomasks Receives Freescale Semiconductor's 'Supplier Excellence' Award
Company recognized for outstanding quality and performance for a 90nm mask set under aggressive delivery schedule
DuPont Photomasks, Inc. (NASDAQ: DPMI) announced today that it has received a Supplier Excellence Award from Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded semiconductors.
The Freescale Supplier Excellence Award recognizes DuPont Photomasks' outstanding performance in supplying photomasks at the 90nm design node under an extremely aggressive delivery schedule at Freescale's MOS13 wafer fab in Austin, Texas. The expedited delivery of photomasks enabled MOS13 to achieve record cycle time throughout the fab.
"This project involved a complex 90nm photomask set on an unusually aggressive delivery schedule and design changes," said Bill McKean, Freescale's director of fab operations. "Responding to this challenge, DuPont Photomasks delivered more than 90 percent of the photomasks ahead of schedule and all the remaining photomasks on time. The Company's performance on critical photomask layers was especially impressive."
