    President and Chief Executive Officer


    David S. Murray was named president and chief executive officer of Toppan Photomasks and appointed to the company's board of directors in June 2006.

    Previously, Murray served as executive vice president of worldwide operations for Toppan Photomasks, where he led manufacturing strategy for commercializing advanced technology across global operations, and was directly responsible for overseeing the company's entire manufacturing organization. He also has held a series of executive-level roles, including operations, engineering, quality, supply-chain management, materials and asset management throughout his tenure with the company.

    Prior to joining the company in 1989, Murray spent nine years with E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., where he held various materials, engineering and manufacturing positions.

    Murray holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware.

    Michael G. Hadsell
    Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales


    Mike Hadsell was appointed executive vice president of worldwide sales in June 2006. In this position, he has responsibility for all of Toppan Photomasks' sales efforts around the world.

    Hadsell has served in a number of sales and operations roles in the United States and Asia Pacific during his two decades with the company. Before taking on his present title, Hadsell maintained full business responsibility for the region in his role as vice president and managing director for Asia. Previously, he held operations and sales assignments in the Asia-Pacific region and the United States, where, among other accomplishments, he led the construction and start-up of the company's Singapore facility.

    Prior to joining the photomask business, Hadsell served in various engineering, operations and management positions in the nylon intermediates chemical business at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company.

    Hadsell holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a master's degree in business administration from St. Edward's University.

    Dr. Franklin Kalk
    Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer


    Dr. Franklin Kalk is Toppan Photomasks' chief technology officer and leads Toppan Photomasks' global research-and-development programs, supporting customers' technology roadmaps. He was named to the position in April 2004 at DuPont Photomasks and he retained his title after the acquisition by Toppan Printing Company.

    Dr. Kalk joined DuPont Photomasks in 1992, and has led several tool and material development programs. For the past several years, Dr. Kalk focused on photomask resolution-enhancement technology issues and led company-wide programs aimed at improving the quality and yield of photomask products. Prior to joining DuPont Photomasks, he held a number of engineering and research positions within the electronics group of E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co. He began his career at Storage Technology Corp.

    Dr. Kalk holds sixteen U.S. patents and has published numerous technical papers. He holds a doctorate in optics from University of Rochester and a bachelor's degree in physics from Emory University.

    Barry F. Pomeroy
    Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer


    Barry F. Pomeroy, Toppan Photomasks' executive vice president-finance and chief financial officer, has been responsible for the company's global finance organization and the overall financial direction of the company since May 2006.

    Pomeroy joined DuPont Photomasks in 2003 as controller and continued in that role after the acquisition of the company by Toppan Printing in 2005. Prior to joining the company, he spent 20 years at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), a world-leading chipmaker where he held the position of senior director of finance and group controller for worldwide manufacturing and technology. Before AMD, he worked for 8 years at General Instrument (now Micro Chip) as chief accountant.

    Pomeroy holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
