David S. Murray
David S. Murray was named president and chief executive officer of Toppan Photomasks and appointed to the company's board of directors in June 2006.
Previously, Dave served as executive vice president of worldwide operations for Toppan Photomasks, where he led manufacturing strategy for commercializing advanced technology across global operations, and was directly responsible for overseeing the company's entire manufacturing organization. He also has held a series of executive-level roles, including operations, engineering, quality, supply-chain management, materials and asset management throughout his tenure with the company.
Prior to joining the company in 1989, Dave spent nine years with E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., where he held various materials, engineering and manufacturing positions.
Dave holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware.
Dr. Franklin Kalk
Dr. Franklin Kalk was appointed chief technology officer in April 2004. He leads Toppan Photomasks' global technology effort, including global engineering and maintenance, capital equipment, and quality.
Previously, Franklin managed mask R&D at the Reticle Technology Center, where he was responsible for advanced materials and manufacturing technology development. He was DuPont Photomasks’ first research fellow and was instrumental in several mask industry innovations, including phase shifting materials and metrology and advanced inspection methods.
Prior to joining DuPont Photomasks in 1992, Franklin held engineering positions in the electronics business of E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co. and at Storage Technology Corp.
Franklin holds eighteen U.S. patents and is widely published. He holds a doctorate in optics from the University of Rochester and a bachelor's degree in physics from Emory University.
Michael G. Hadsell
Mike Hadsell was appointed executive vice president of worldwide sales in June 2006. In this position, he has responsibility for all of Toppan Photomasks' sales efforts around the world.
Mike has served in a number of sales and operations roles in the United States and Asia Pacific during his two decades with the company. Before taking on his present title, Mike maintained full business responsibility for the region in his role as vice president and managing director for Asia. Previously, he held operations and sales assignments in the Asia-Pacific region and the United States, where, among other accomplishments, he led the construction and start-up of the company's Singapore facility.
Prior to joining the photomask business, Mike served in various engineering, operations and management positions in the nylon intermediates chemical business at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a master's degree in business administration from St. Edward's University.
Barry F. Pomeroy
Barry F. Pomeroy, Toppan Photomasks' executive vice president-finance and chief financial officer, has been responsible for the company's global finance organization and the overall financial direction of the company since May 2006.
Barry joined DuPont Photomasks in 2003 as controller and continued in that role after the acquisition of the company by Toppan Printing in 2005. Prior to joining the company, he spent 20 years at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), a world-leading chipmaker where he held the position of senior director of finance and group controller for worldwide manufacturing and technology. Before AMD, he worked for 8 years at General Instrument (now Micro Chip) as chief accountant.
Barry holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
